Baptist Health continues to prove they don’t just set goals; they see them through. Their desire to be more energy efficient and resilient with green initiatives is the reason they will continue to be a leader in the healthcare industry. This project is proof of their commitment moving forward!

Seal Solar broke ground on this project in September of 2024 in Stuttgart, Arkansas. Before our team was able to bring Baptist Health’s dream to fruition, a lot of behind-the-scenes work had to be done, including utility analysis, land procurement, engineering, permitting, and material procurement. Since that time, 221 rows with 590 watt, bi-facial solar panels have been installed for a total of 22,300 panels.

Construction is in the final stages on this 13.05-megawatt array for Baptist Health, the largest private not-for-profit health care organization based in Arkansas. This array is one of the largest non-utility scale systems installed in Arkansas, with an estimated production of 22,683,343 kWh/year!

“Baptist Health is excited to be a part of this new solar farm – a step toward generating cleaner, more sustainable power while reducing costs,” said Brent Beaulieu, Chief Financial Officer for Baptist Health. “This project reflects our commitment to being a greener organization and builds on our strong record of energy efficiency, demonstrated by our 83% Energy Star Rating at Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock.”

“Seal Solar has a long history of working with businesses, farmers, and non-profits across Arkansas to incorporate solar and storage into their energy needs mix. We are proud to be working with the team at Baptist Health to help meet their sustainability and cost-saving needs.” – John Buckley, Project Manager overseeing the construction of the project.

Site Superintendent for Seal Solar, DeAndre Frye said, “I’m proud to be part of one of the biggest projects we’ve ever built. It’s even more exciting being a part of something that’s going to be around for a very long time. Making customers smile seeing the project come to light, along with having no hiccups, makes Seal Solar even more trustworthy when it comes to clients choosing us.”

Even after the Baptist Health solar array comes online, our partnership continues to grow. Maddie Stewmon, Service and O&M Manager said, “We’re excited to take on the operations and maintenance of Baptist Health’s solar array. It’s an opportunity to apply our expertise at a larger scale, ensure long term performance, and deliver lasting value to our client.” Seal Solar Service and O&M department is teamed with Baptist Health to maintain their site for years to come.
