Reliable, Renewable Energy for Your Business

Take Control of Your Energy with Solar

Your business depends on reliable power. Why leave your energy costs – and your business continuity – entirely in someone else’s hands?

Seal Solar helps Arkansas businesses turn sunlight into a smarter source of energy. From system design, engineering, and installation to battery storage and EV charging, we provide solutions designed around your business.

Solar can help reduce your dependence on the traditional power grid, lower long-term energy costs, provide greater protection against outages and support your sustainability goals – all while giving you more control over one of your biggest operating expenses.

With Seal Solar, you get more than solar panels. You get a local partner focused on helping your business generate, manage and protect its own energy.

Benefits of Solar Panels for Your Business

Reduce Energy and Operating Costs

Generate your own electricity and reduce your reliance on utility power. Depending on your system, energy usage and utility rates, solar can help lower your monthly operating costs and provide greater predictability over time.

Keep Your Business Running

Power outages can mean more than inconvenience, they can mean lost productivity, spoiled inventory, interrupted operations and lost revenue. Solar paired with battery storage can provide an added layer of energy resilience when you need it most.

Take Advantage of Available Incentives

Federal, state and local incentives may help reduce the cost of going solar. Seal Solar can help identify available incentives and guide you through the process.

Reduce Your Carbon Footprint

Solar allows your business to reduce its reliance on conventional energy sources and demonstrate a commitment to more sustainable operations.

Accelerated Return on Investment

Commercial solar may offer valuable tax benefits, including depreciation opportunities, that can improve the financial return of your investment. Your tax professional can help determine how these benefits apply to your business.

Commercial Solar Panels Financing

Tax Incentives for Commercial Solar Panels

The IRS offers two tax incentives for commercial solar panels in Arkansas.

Federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC)

Under the latest One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) guidelines, commercial solar projects qualify for a 30% baseline federal tax credit (Section 48E) if they are fully operational and placed in service by December 31, 2027. Projects that do not achieve commercial operation by this exact cutoff date will see their federal tax credit eligibility drop to 0%.

Essential Commercial ITC Criteria

  • The Hard Cutoff: Systems must achieve a “placed in service” status by December 31, 2027.
  • Operational Definition: “Placed in service” means the solar array is completely installed and ready to generate power. Official utility permission to operate (PTO) is not strictly required for this tax designation.
  • Third-Party Compatibility: This incentive structure remains fully applicable to commercial solar leases, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and corporate capital purchases.
  • Bonus Depreciation Benefits: Traditional 5-year MACRS depreciation has been replaced. It is now replaced by a 100% first-year bonus depreciation framework.
  • Sourcing Thresholds: Projects must satisfy updated Foreign Entity of Concern (FEOC) rules. At least 40% of the system’s component value must originate from non-restricted nations to protect credit eligibility.

Bonus Depreciation Benefits: Traditional 5-year MACRS depreciation has been replaced. It is now replaced by a 100% first-year bonus depreciation framework.

Commercial Solar + Battery Storage

Don’t just generate your own power. Store it.

A commercial battery energy storage system stores electricity for use when you need it most. During a power outage, it can provide backup power for critical operations when paired with an appropriately designed system. It can also help businesses manage peak demand charges from the grid.

Seal Solar is proud to offer the best available commercial solar battery, the Tesla Powerwall, that gathers, stores and redistributes excess energy from your panels for consistent and reliable power – even during outages. If you’re interested in becoming energy independent – and saving money – consider a commercial solar battery!

Commercial Solar Panel Installation Process

Site Evaluation

This is the first step of every commercial solar panel installation. The initial evaluation will inform the design of the solar panel system and the solar panel installation. Site evaluation includes:

  • Legal reviews
  • Determine if permits are required
  • Determining where and how the system will connect to the grid
  • Shade analysis
  • Structural evaluation, if applicable
  • Gather Utility Data
  • Determine if geological and topographical surveys are required

System Design

After the initial evaluation is completed and all necessary permits and paperwork are completed, Seal Solar will design the perfect solar system for your business. Once the plans are finalized, we’ll provide you with a copy that illustrates how the panels will be arranged and how construction will be executed.

Construction

Next is the solar panel installation. The timeline for your construction will vary depending on the size of the system and the complexity of the project. Generally speaking, smaller projects may take 2-3 weeks to complete. Major construction may take a few months. We’ll work with you to create a schedule of minimal disruption so you can continue business as usual. We stay in contact throughout the process, from obtaining utility bills to switching on your system!

Commissioning

Once your system is complete and running correctly, the utility company and city, if applicable, will inspect your system and approve it for connection. Once that happens (usually within a week to a month depending on the speed of your local government), you will be operating and producing clean energy!

FAQs

What types of commercial buildings can be solar-powered?

Our rooftop commercial solar systems can be installed on most industrial, warehouse, commercial, retail, and agricultural buildings. We’ll have a structural engineer come inspect the facility and roof closely before finalizing a system plan. We also offer ground-mounted and carport systems for our commercial clients depending on the size of your future system and the space available at your facility.

Are rebates and incentives guaranteed?

States may change their rebate and incentive programs at any time, so there is no guarantee. However, Seal Solar is happy to evaluate and help you apply for any available grant, rebate, or incentive program for which your business qualifies at the time of construction.

What happens to the excess energy I collect?

Depending on where you live and how your system is built, you may be able to store the power by using batteries for emergency backup power, demand shavings, or sell it back to the grid to offset your electricity costs.

My original installer is no longer in business. Can Seal Solar service my system?

Yes we can! Fill out our Request Service form and one of our Service Team Members will be in contact with you as soon as possible.
