The Seal Solar Approach

Chances are you’ve driven around Arkansas in the past few years and have noticed a marked increase in the presence of solar panels on your neighbors homes. While residential solar adoption is growing in Arkansas, it’s not nearly as common and popular as it is in states such as California. Too many Arkansans still believe that solar panels for their homes is out of reach for their budget. That is not true. The majority of our clients are cashflow positive after one month of going solar. Call our team today and get your free solar quote. Learn how easy and affordable solar really is.

Myth Vs. Reality

At Seal Solar, we believe that 2020 is the year to debunk myths about residential solar and help Arkansas homeowners make valuable upgrades. Here are a few of the most common misconceptions surrounding solar energy, all of which are untrue:

Solar panels are too expensive.

False. This misconception is largely based on how much solar used to cost when it first hit the market. In just the past five years, however, the average cost of a solar panel has dropped by 60%. Now, more than ever before, solar panels are affordable for the average homeowner and through 2020 there is a 26% Federal Tax Credit available to homeowners.

Solar panels can only be installed on new roofs.

False. While it’s always recommended that homeowners have their roofs inspected before going solar, it does not need to be brand new. If a roof repair is needed down the road, panels can typically be removed and replaced without issue.

Solar panels only work in high sun areas.

False. Solar panels do gain their energy from the sun, but it doesn’t take endless sunlight to create a sizable amount of electricity. Take Germany, for example, which is responsible for 6,000% more solar power than the United States: the US sees 3,900% more sun than Germany each year.

The Seal Solar Approach

While there are a variety of different ways to approach a solar install, we stick to our own specific process here at Seal Solar. We believe that the trick is to reduce energy consumption as much as possible before installing solar equipment. Why? Imagine if you were to simply slap a bunch of panels on your home without first taking a closer look at home performance. If there are inefficiencies occurring, your solar panels will function merely to offset those issues and will not be able to truly perform their job properly.
